How we make money
Plainly: we are a supply company. If you use the free coverage check, turn out to be covered, and choose to order your sensors through Medically Modern, we get paid by your insurer the way any DME supplier does. That is our entire business model on this site — no advertising, no affiliate commissions, and no payment from Dexcom or any manufacturer for what we write.
The coverage check itself is free and carries no obligation. If we verify your benefits and you take that information to a different supplier, that is a perfectly fine outcome and it happens regularly.
We tell you this up front because you should weigh what a supplier says about coverage accordingly — and because a site that hides its incentive is a site worth less trust.
Why we say there is no coupon code
The domain is dexcomcoupons.com and the honest answer to “what is the Dexcom coupon code” is that there isn't one. We could bury that. Plenty of sites do: they rank for the query, show a page of nothing, and collect the traffic anyway.
We would rather answer the question. There are real savings programs — Dexcom's pharmacy coupon, its free trial (commercial insurance only — Medicare, Medicaid and VA beneficiaries are excluded), its assistance program, Quick Start, and third-party discount cards — and each has fine print that decides whether it helps you. Our savings page lists all of them with links straight to the source, including programs we make no money from.
How we source facts
Every factual claim on this site — coverage criteria, dollar figures, dates, product specifications — traces to a primary source, and each guide ends with the sources it used. In practice that means:
- Coverage rules come from CMS documents: the Medicare LCD for glucose monitors (L33822), its policy article (A52464), and CMS's annual Part B premium and deductible notice.
- Program terms come from Dexcom's own pages, and we say so when Dexcom's pages disagree with each other — as they currently do on the size of the pharmacy coupon.
- Manufacturer statistics are attributed to the manufacturer. When we cite “most covered patients pay $20 or less,” we say that Dexcom reports it, because it is Dexcom's footnoted marketing claim rather than an independent finding.
- Cash prices come from published discount-card prices, dated, with the caveat that they move constantly.
When we cannot verify something, we leave it out rather than round it into a confident-sounding sentence. Where a program's status is genuinely unclear — such as whether Medicare currently covers the G7 15 Day — we say it is unclear and tell you to confirm.
